Lunchtime Break for Fishing Oct 5, 2021

Today was absolutely gorgeous outside. I pedaled out to the favorite pond on my bike during lunch time. We are talking about 70° weather with hardly any humidity. The skies were mostly overcast but the sun did peek through at times.

I started out using the drop shot and I noticed the water clarity wasn't that great. We had some rain over the weekend and that always causes this pond to cloud up or get murky fairly quickly. It takes a couple days for the pond to clear up. I was able to catch one smaller bass on my drop shot rig using a little tiny fluke in a baby bass color.

Name of the game, improvisation...
I started to try to figure out what I could throw that I had in my bag. Luckily, I had some of my jigs. I picked out a black and blue jig with a green pumpkin craw trailer...I cast it out and Bam!!! I had a nice bass hit that jig before it even had a chance to sink.

And then all of a sudden it looks like I figured out a pattern for the day. I caught two more bass on this black and blue jig. Sometimes the name of the game is improvisation. Sometimes you really have to drop what you think is working and move on to something else in a very short period of time. Sometimes it doesn't work out either. But wow... When you improvise and it works out man it is fun! Worked out for me today and made me feel like I'm a veteran of this fishing game. 😆 Stay committed, stay driven my Ohana. 🤙🏽
